Magnicon has started a joint research project with PTB (Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt) and IAP (Institut fuer Angewandte Photonik e.V.) named MCFLL.
Goal of the project is the development of a multi-purpose multichannel SQUID electronics to be scalable for systems with a couple of channels up to systems with 1000 SQUID channels or more.
The electronics should be suitable for a variety of applications (single-stage SQUIDs, 2-stage SQUIDs, TES bias, etc.) while maintaining moderate costs, low noise, and high bandwidth.
This project is funded by the state of Berlin and the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE).
There are new versions of our SQUID electronics control software available. Download SQUIDViewer v3.3.18 and the SQUIDViewer DLL v0.0.0.11 from the customer area.

Magnicon has started a joint research project with PTB to establish a traceable calibration of our MFFT-1 magnetic field fluctuation thermometers.
Goal of the project is the traceability of MFFT-1 reference temperatures to the provisional low temperature scale 2000 (PLTS2000).
The MFFT-1 thermometer is a semi-primary high-accuracy Johnson noise thermometer designed for use at typical dilution refrigerator temperatures.
Learn more about the MFFT-1 thermometer.
This project is funded by the state of Berlin and the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE).
Magnicon is proud to announce some new activities in the field of high-precision metrology applications. Some devices are developed together with Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the German national metrology institute. Please contact us for more informations about prices and availability.
CCC Electronics
A new state-of-the-art electronics for Cryogenic Current Comparator (CCC) operation for high precision resistance measurements is under development right now. The 19" plug-in chassis includes two digital current sources, a nanovoltmeter acting as a null-detector, and a communication unit for PC control of all parameters. Together with our high-performance XXF-1 SQUID electronics the system allows fast and stable measurements with lowest uncertainty.

Nanovoltmeter
Resulting from our CCC electronics development we will offer the applied nanovoltmeter as a stand-alone device too. In comparison to available nanovoltmeters, this new chopper amplifier offers high bandwidth with short settling time and low voltage noise as well as low current noise performance.

Voltage Ramp Generator
Together with PTB we have developed a highly linear digital voltage ramp generator that can be used for traceable calibration of picoamperemeters. The fully computer controlled device allows voltage slopes between 1mV/s and 1000mV/s with ultra low variations.
